Hello beautiful people!

This week I have for you an industrial kitchen and all the inspiration that you may need to recreate the style!

Again, and as for the other “House Decor Style” posts, I am going to take you through the various stages of the design process.

  1. Concept Design

When I think about industrial eras I associate them with the surge of metallurgy and its celebration opposed to treating it as a structural element hidden behind another surface, tough environments and the colour black.

To recreate this industrial feel in a space, we will focus on having some raw and exposed materials, some bricks and plenty of wood and metal.

Now I am a big believer in embracing and enhancing a building environment and history with its interior, I find it flows much more easily and the result feels effortlessly right.
For that reason, I appreciate exposed red bricks are not everyone’s cup of tea or are neither a natural choice depending on the style of the building, that’s why I like to swap them for white metro tiles. I see them both as evocative of the industrial movement and decor but belonging to different eras and places, giving us more options for what feels right for each of us and each building.
Also don’t be deterred by the thought of having to completely redo your walls, wallpapers are now a fantastic option to realistically recreate the visual effect of bricks, simply be mindful as to its suitability depending on where you intend to have it.

2. Sample Selections

For this industrial kitchen, I chose to have two options for the kitchen itself, one with red bricks and another one with white metro tiles.

The lighting options are also catering for as many options as possible, an island can have pendants above but avoid in the areas of circulation. You might also not have any electrical output for it and only have spotlights, simply take into consideration what can and can’t be incorporated into your room.

This is just an example of what could be introduced, feel free to browse my favorite products to find and purchase stocked items.
