This is our first House Decor Style in collaboration with Colours123, perfectly in time for the summer weather we are now (and finally!) having in the UK.

  1. Concept Design

As some of you might already know, Country farmhouse translates for me as being close to nature and living in sync with it, little consumerism and a slower pace of life. It is also evocative of the warmth of the sun, the grass turning drier and time spent with family and friends around a table under a pergola or umbrella.

To apply these principles to an interior, I approached the concept from two different angles:

  • Using as many and as much natural materials as possible, really making the most of what the Earth intrinsically provides us with.

  • Upcycling as much as possible, using family heirlooms and various items passed down from previous generations even if it means having a slight mix match of aged items.

Wood is therefore key in this scheme, as well as linens, handmade ceramics, earthy tones and muted colours.

If you want to recreate this feeling, look for earthy tones, rustic finishes, imperfections, second hand and salvaged items, mix and match them and you will have a very inviting area, full of character.

2. Sample Selections

This is just an example of what could be introduced, you can either visit Colours123 website to purchase these exact products or feel free to browse my favorite products for alternatives and even more options to choose from. .
